• All Level 1 headings should use the same typeface, type size, spacing, and capitalization.
• Consistent use of color, icons, rules, and screens.
• Contrast – create distinguishing elements to enhance information processing.
• Example: Black print on white background; upper and lower case letters; color distinctions.
